    Hi, Miss Prissy,
I want to send a shout out to everyone about what is happening in a neighboring town in regard to legalizing chickens, Here is the link to the local editorial page.

City shouldn’t allow residents to keep chickens is the headline.

I left a reply. Seems dumb to me, but as a chicken person, i guess i am biased. Id way rather listen to chickens then to the neighborhood of crazed dogs, cats in heat, etc etc. Anyhow I replied. Being a Coloradan, this is a problem for me! Hope these problems don't come to my neighborhood

No kidding! I would rather hear clucking than ::BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK::: all darn day like I do now!

My across the street neighbor had chickens for years and I never even knew it until I went back there one day to see her new porch, but I can tell you each and every neighbor that owns a dog [IMG]

I left a comment. I'd much rather hear a few hens than barking dogs. I am lucky that I live out in the county and can have my chickens, sheep, geese, ducks, horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, and quail but I really feel for all of those that just want a few hens and can't have them.

I did too, It was a long one. This town of Longmont has always been very rural. Yeah they do have their new developments of the cookie cutter houses that have been being built and built and built just like everywhere else. But come on farms and animals were there first if you didn't like that atmosphere you should've stayed where you were. This just chaps my heiny!!!!!

wow talk about racist against chickens! I say...Chickens should sue!! if they want to rule out chickens, then they should do so with dogs too piff...they poop more ( and cannot be used as fertilizer) they even eat their poop then try to lick you!! some pose threat to "friendly" neighbors..most threat a chicken can do is...what..poke? haha [IMG] I wonder if someone brings up the dog thing, will they rethink about the chickens... ?
