City, Suburb, or country?

Good luck with that....unless you are a Hollywood Actor who has a summer resort and is pushing out local residence for a week in the greatest place on earth.
Sorry for the rant

born country but living in the concrete jungle in florida. i really, really, and i mean really HATE it here. at first it was nice living so close to work (3 miles) but now i'm so sick of it. i have a few things to remodel on my house and then we're moving to tennessee. in the country with some acreage. i need some space. where i'm at, i could take out my neighbor (from any side) with a spit ball. alot of people say how jealous they are of me living in florida. i tell them they can have it! i hate it. the sub-tropical climate is so not worth the congested, can't drive, arrogant fools here. it takes 45 minutes to drive 30 miles. on a 4 lane highway!

Suburbs right now, 1/3 acre with a small garden. We grew our first potatoes and cantaloupe this year!

When the kids graduate in 5 years we're moving out to our 5 country acres. Can't wait, then I can have my chickens on my own property.

Country... but Florida country so still to dang many people. I have 5 acres on the end of a dirt road with only a few neighbors spread out.... but that's a few to many.

I will live somewhere that no-one can see my house, or me if I don't want to be seen. Hmmm sounding a little unsocial? Not at all, I'll socialize with the chicken people

Extremely small town, so not really city, suburb OR country!
That will be remedied as soon as I can arrange it though, moving to the country.

Born in suburbs, went more suburban, then less, then more, and now, COUNTRY! 5 acres surrounded by hundreds of acres of pasture and farmland, with just enough neighbors to make it homey (1). My little piece of heaven.

Small town for some 30 years, until a couple of years ago. Rural now, a few miles from the small town. No difference, really, except space, 11 acres vs one acre. Had chickens in the town for a while, roos included, and could have had a cow or pig if I wanted. Gators also live in town. Former next door neighbor raised quail and still has chickens. Used to collect his quail manure for compost.

I could not live where there are limitations on this stuff any more. Right to farm should be a national judicial assumption. Don't EVEN get me started on HOA's.
