Ok.........
I was incubating frizzle eggs for me and Blue orphinton eggs, a total of 32 eggs that are doing well on day 18 now! I gave my other incubator to the teacher with some mutt eggs from the farmer.
Soooooooo, I candled her eggs on day 14 and, NOTHING! no babies! It was sad for her, but then I told her that I would give her my incubator and hatch out my eggs. This made her super super happy and then I took everything to the classroom today for the 1st grade students.

I candled the babies for them and they got to see veins and everything! How exciting to see their faces all lit up and happy! Now I hope the hatch goes well and they at least see a baby by Friday(since that is day 21)

Here is the Oregon classroom hatch and the last one from me!

I hope the get at least one baby, that would be great for these kids.

Please give us hatching vibes and good luck, this teacher will need it.

Thank you!

Good luck! I'm hatching in my classroom (Kindergarten) right now too! My first time EVER hatching and I don't think my eggs are going to hatch

The other teacher did give me some of hers when we knew hers were doing well and growing on schedule. We all hope that I just candled wrong and something will come out of mine. They are "due" to hatch tomorrow! Today is 20 and haven't seen anything yet. Fingers are crossed. The kids are very excited...and have been told that if they are too loud the chicks aren't going to come out becase they'll be afraid

oh did you candle the eggs at all?

I really hope they hatch for you, at least one, just so the kids can see the mirical of life.

Good Job!

Tomorow will be day 19 for the 1st graders.

I candled and they all seem to be doing good!

PLEASE HATCH chickies!

There is nothing better than showing the start of life to youngsters. That was so nice of you to offer your bator and eggs for their experience.

Way to go!! We are in our last hatch too and two eggs pipped today so I'm pretty sure we will have babies when we get in tomorrow morning. I was worried about the long weekend with the eggs due tomorrow but it went well. We turned off the turner this morning and took them out of it and not an hour later we had pips.
Good luck!!!
Kate
PS, I was wondering if any of you other teachers would like to work together next year and do something like the Flat Stanley except share pics and plans for our hatches? The kids could have penpals to write to and share stories with?
Kate

wow pen pals sound like so much fun between classes.

Oh hey! My husband is a girl scout leader and they earn patches becoming pen pals with other kids. We could maybe do this around next year with hatching chicks? Hmmmmm........

BTW. Thank you Jody and everyone, I just felt so bad when her eggs were duds and mine were doing well.

I really hope for a good hatch for her, she had a bad hatch last year and I want to make sure she does not this year.

Ok.........
keep all the fingers and toes crossed!
