Clavamox source!

Thanks Paneubert! That is great information.

So far, Loretta is not faring well with the clavamox. She is extremely lethargic, vomits whenever I pick her up and she has clear diarrhea. Hoping she will turn the corner soon.

Thanks for checking in! Loretta did not improve with the clavamox. In fact she was relatively healthy when she started taking it (she was treated for irregular eggs) and she became quite ill once on the antibiotic. After conferring with the vet today we decided to take her off the clavamox. It's been 14 hours since her last dose and she seems to be perking up.

Huh, well I guess that goes to show that meds are not always the answer, and sometimes are the issue....

Based on what I gave my 3kg hen, a five pound chicken given the 62.5 mg/ml suspension would get 3 ml twice a day. How large is the bird you want to treat? Might be more cost effective to buy the pills instead.

Any idea on dosing for clavamox pills for baby chicken ?

How much does the chicken weigh? How many mg are your pills?
Pills are 62.5mg... Not sure on weight, she is a little over a month old (orpington) but is significantly smaller than the rest of her siblings. She's being treated for wry neck and breathed in some liquid vitamins so I'm concerned with her developing aspiration pneumonia and I have clavamox pills on hand.
