Peony ‘ Paw lunged at a fish in the river, and brought it back to the prey pile. She heard there was a gathering tonight and her paws tingled with excitement.

”I hope i get to go.. i mean, all the older cats go, why can’t i?” She said out loud

”Guess i’d better clean the elders moss!“ she said loud enough for cats around her to here. They stared at her blankly before continuing with what they were doing. She was hoping doing a few extra chores might make it more likely for her to get picked. She padded off to the elders den

Dove ‘ Paw was organizing herbs in the medicine den when she heard the gathering was tonight

she was excited, also a little nervous. What would the other cats think of her? Maybe she could make smalltalk with cats from other clans, since the apprentices here were snappy. She shook her head.

“Gotta focus. Organizing herbs is no place to be lost in thought.” and she gently scooped the poppyseeds with her paw and grouped them together

Mountainshine and Dovepaw stayed behind the rest of the group on the way to the gathering. "Are you excited for you first gathering Dovepaw? asked Mountainshine. "Uh, yeah! I guess! I just hope the other clans can except me the way I am... Could you tell me more what a gathering is like?" "Sure! Usually the clan leaders share their clan news with the other clans and then after that, all the clan cats usually mingle with each other for a bit until it's time to go back." After walking for a while, they finally made it. They took their places by the other medicine cats and waited for the leaders to take their places.

”Mountainshine!“ she whispered “When can i talk to other cats?”

“After the leaders finish” Mountainshine replied

“Okay! And when does Thunderclan get to talk?”

“I know you’re excited, but we have to listen. Talking during a gathering is rude.“ Mountainshine told her

“Right, sorry” Dove ‘ Paw said quietly

She spotted an apprentice from Shadow clan and they ended up passing a moss ball back and fourth, she got so carried away until her mom hissed from behind her

”Dove ‘ Paw! Stop acting like a kit, i expected you to behave so much better during your first gathering” (making dove ‘ paws mom character soon)

“Mom, i’m so sorry.. i promise i-“

“That’s enough. If you’re going to behave like a kit, you’ll get treated like one.“ Her mom picked her up by the scruff and set her down next to Mountainshine. Dove ‘ Paw was humiliated. Of course other clan members saw that too..

She covered her face briefly with her tail to hide her embarrassment.
