CLB * Black Orp

I have learned that it's not the purity of the bird that creates a sexlink. It's the gene for barring.

Correct me if I'm wrong @The Moonshiner (and praise me if I'm right lol), but a non-barred rooster over a barred hen will produce sexlinks. Males will be barred and females won't.
That's definitely what I do with my Maran hen x non Barred boy... And it works! Mind blown that it appears to work for these, too.

Yes, you did create sexlinks. Legbars are crele I believe. Was there a difference in them as chicks? Males should have had a head spot, but it may not have been clear.😊
I wasn't switched on enough so think about this in advance. The sex link was an afterthought!!

yes dear. Correct as usual.

Hmm, yes, but I didn't think this would work given that the CLB is itself a cross. But there's definitely something going on as I've hatched 8 and there's four of each pattern. Four with one pattern have no barring and no comb. Ignore my earlier 5:2. It was lazy guess work
Cream legbars are a pure breed.
