I have feather legs, and i wondered if there was any way i could keep the cages a little more cleaner without having to go outside every hour.

Glad you joined us!

I keep my feather legged pigeons in large cages with wire a wire grid floor. The spacing between the wires Is big enough for the poop to just fall through, but small enough for the birds to easily walk on it comfortably. Under the cage I have sand in a tray. each week I sift the sand and throw away the dry poop, re using the sand. It works really well.

The birds free fly and outside they stay clean because they are not walking in their own poop.

The cages are about 2ft wide and 3ft deep. During breeding season we keep 2-3 birds in a cage. When that's over we keep 1 sometimes 2 in a pen.
