Clean Up After Mites

Hello!
We just sprayed our two adult chickens with elector psp to take care of mites prior to adding some new chicks to our coop. It worked great- no live mites on the chickens or in the coop that we can see. However, one chicken (who had more mites than the other) has quite a bit of crusty, dried stuff on her belly where the mites were. I’m guessing these are egg casings or something?

Should we clean the crusty stuff off or leave it and she’ll take care of it? If we should clean it, how do we do it?

Also, should we re-treat with the elector psp in a few days just to make sure they’re gone?

Thanks!

Can you post pictures of this crusty stuff?
Attached- it’s the best I could get!

No living mites anymore- this is the 3rd time I’ve checked her today and I haven’t ended up with any on my hands or seen any moving. They all appear to be dead, including the ones near the ends of her feathers. I’m mostly wondering what to do about the stuff near the base of her feathers. It’s dry and crusty (I probably could crumble it off if I wanted to). Her skin seems dry and flaky too.
