cleaned my coops

I have cleaned my coops with bleach and bleached their feeding and water buckets.....cleaned and burned all the hay in their nest boxes and dusted with sevin....after culling.....pray that this will take care of all of the CRD.....

I really do hate that you've had to got through this. My fingers are crossed for you that things will start turning around now.

thank you gumpsgirl....I did not realize about the diseases that chickens can catch.....it was a hard lesson learned.....speckledhen said she culls all with respiratory sickness and does not treat and I am going to do the same....I have read and read that CRD and coryza when they catch it they always carry it....

While you're at it... treat the dirt in the run with some lime.

Till it in or rake it in, it will keep bad microbes to a minimum.
