Hi, my chickens were attacked by 2 German shepards a couple days ago. Only one was injured. I rookie her to the vet and we think she'll make it. She's on a pain medication, antibiotic and some cream as well as I have this to clean her wounds but I don't have enough. What else should I use to clean her wounds when I run out?

Rinse the wounds with a very mild solution of Epsom Salt & warm water 2-3 times a day & put some Neosporin (non-pain) or any antibiotic (non-pain, anything with "statin" in it) on the wounds, keep them in a warm, quiet area away from any others, just make sure it has plenty of food & water avail.

This is chlorhexidine: -basically an antiseptic wash. What would be great and similar in effect is Vetericyn. You can also use a salt solution, 4.5 g of salt to 500 ml boiled, cooled water, because the antibiotic will have taken care of the infection by the time you run out of the solution.
