I have a question how do I clean the duck eggs that are for eating ? my girls are starting to lay they gave me six eggs today. not sure who is laying. they are white and the size of chicken eggs. I have 7 hens two are blue Swedish two are Cayuga and three golden 300. none of them are sitting. also I have them on purina layer I think it is 18%.i have 3 drakes so I did not want real high protein I heard it wasn,t good for the boys. thanks for any input. ps I was doing the happy dance when I saw all those eggs.

Congrats on the eggs! I do not refrigerate mine so therefore I do not wash/scrub them until they are ready to be used. Any eggs that I collect that are super muddy (not too often) I toss only bc I always have way more than needed. But that's just what I do.
