Hi! I have a Styrofoam incubator that I cleaned yesterday. I just used some warm water mixed with some Dawn dish-soap, and scrubbed the plastic water liners and wire bottom with it. I also used this for the Styrofoam bottom, to kill any germs I used a bottle with water and a little bit of bleach in it and gave the bottom of the bator a quick spray.
I let it air dry in my basement, I set it up this morning and it has been running fine.
Was it safe to use bleach water? I've heard that developing embryos can absorb bleach? Is it safe to use?
