Cleaning out brooder waterer 100 times a day

I put all of my waterers on old metal popcorn tins. Goodwill sells them for about .25 each, and I have built up a great assortment of sizes. As the chickens and size of the waterers grow, I can raise the base in a matter of seconds. Added bonus: Come winter, I pop a light inside the tin for an instant heated waterer. (Of course I add a few other safety measures at that point too)

I finally got smart and put a block of wood under my chick waterer. Like you said, everytime you turn around there was shavings in the water all the time. Now since I have done this, I usually don't find shavings in their waterer.
