Guys can I was the eggs before putting them in the incubator? I did read that this could cause infection? I don't want to leave poo on them though. I have been giving extra fresh bedding in the hope of keeping them clean! Also I am storing them with the small end down, is that right? Until I get 6 collected. I'm going to put the incubator on over the weekend to make sure the temp is ok!

you're not 'supposed' to wash them because it removes the bloom from the egg, wiping them with a washcloth does the same.

me personally i wash, i even use a scotchbrite pad and scrub them spotless under running city water, never any issues for me and i have excellent hatch rates, YMMV
