Is there anything you'd suggest to do specifically to clean a used coop? I understand that "used coops" are generally not advised/frowned upon, but I know the folks that I purchased from. They got out of keeping chickens due to their age and sudden disabilities. They didn't have any chronic illnesses in their flocks and they had chickens for many years. With that said, I still want to do a deep clean. Other than the obvious things, is there anything else you'd advise? I wish I could have purchased brand new, or even better, built one myself, but it's just not possible right now, unfortunately. Thank you for your time

How long has it been since it was last used? If it's been a while, really no need to use any chemicals or other wet treatments, a good dry clean out with maybe a paint scraper to get anything stuck on loosened up plus a broom, should suffice.

Hmm, so there could be some virus/bacteria left behind, but things like mites would've died off.

I guess using a diluted bleach mix wouldn't hurt, provided it's allowed to dry out completely, though I have to admit I'd probably just do a dry clean and consider it good enough, especially since you said you know the former owners and (I assume) know if they'd be honest if they had been dealing with anything like Marek's.
