I have a hen that is 2 years old. Where I live, the weather is up and down. A couple weeks ago our day temps were in the 40s and night temps were 19. This past week, daytime was 75 night time was 65. Today (12-19-2024) is 51 with lows going to be 37 and just keep dropping until Christmas. Christmas will be 80 again (
thanks Louisiana). Anywho, this hen started having frothy eyes, rattle in chest and clear nasal discharge. I separated her and treated with a round of Enroflaxin for 5 days. During the warm temps, she was fine. No watery eyes or nasal discharge. Got up this morning temps were 45 and well no shock her eyes are back to watering. No bubbles this time and no rattle. Just water. she is healthy other than that. Singing and feisty. She hasn't laid (none of the 10 hens have) in almost a month. Once again thanks to the time of the year lol. Could this be allergies or something else? We are about to leave in vacation and I was hoping to put her back with her flock. What should I do?. Posted a pic of her. Could y'all also help with breed? Store has her labeled as Blue Laced Wyandotte but her comb says different
