cleopatra, queen of what breed?

Cleopatra is my unknown. i am not sure if she is a mix. her mates are red sex links, rhodes and barreds.

i would love to know what she is.

Speckled Sussex look like that too, and so do Brown Leghorns.

Welsummer, Partridge Rock, Light Brown Leghorn, OEG... there are so many possibilities at this age... looks like some of my Icelandic chicks also.... and I named one of mine Cleopatra too!

I emailed the lady who hatched the chicks with the suggestins to see if it could be one of them. maybe it woud help if isaid.that along her back she has chipmunk stripes. they are lighter brown rimmed with black.

We are actually calling one of our americanas "chip" because the marking down her back resembles a chipmunk. Your description sounds just like ours.

So many breeds hatch chipmunk chicks, so it's hard to really tell until they feather in. I can tell you it's not a welsummer chick, the markings are too light.
