Clingy chick what do I do

Hey guys, I need your help. I have a two day old incubated chick and this morning he seemed very sick and weak so I’ve been nurturing him and taking care of him with some egg remedy stuff and he’s doing a lot better. But he has been sleeping a lot(I don’t know if it’s because he is trying to fight off whatever it is or if he’s just dying) and whenever I try to put him in the Bruder he freaks out if I put him down . I always have to be holding him or some how be with him. What do I do?

Does the chick not have any companions who also hatched in the same batch?

I suggest you either spend as much time as possible with him or get him a friend. He just needs the company of another living creature or he'll get lonely.

Put a stuffed toy or mirror in the brooder, he needs the consistent heat in there. Baby chicks sleep a lot, but keep him on the chick vitamins and maybe try some sugar water with egg yolk.

What basically means he sees you as his mother.
