Cliping Chicks Wings

I just got back form my friends, and she was pinioning 50 chicks. They just came this morning, and she had no trouble with bleeding. They cannot fly over a four-foot fence after that. Maybe some of the light breeds would have to have a 6 ft fence. It is something not many people talk about, but it is efficient, works well, and is very safe.

I have mixed feelings about it, but if you are interested I can tell you more. It involves clipping the first bit of the wing off with fingernail clippers and it is permanant.

for curiousity sake will you tell me more about it....

age of birds when done?

photos if possible?

etc......
