I'm going to have to separate these chicks from the ones that are hatching this week because I know that they will bully them![]()
I do have two of those corrals that I can use anyways. I will be putting them in the shed when they are about 2 weeks old. I will just have to find another box to put my Fort Cluck chicks in until they're 2 weeks old.Awww I hope not but probably!![]()

I’m not saying you must of had a spike, I’m just saying that there is some factor that came into play to make this happen and to me seems like it’s not a genetic issue that would be hereditary. Could be as simple as some bacteria got into the pore of the egg and caused development issues or something simple but not thought of. I’m just glad you posted it on here so if someone else down the road has this turn up, then maybe we can try to connect the dots. And bless your heart for giving this baby life! There was no spike in the temperature or in the humidity. I monitor it closely and use 2 thermometers and a hygrometer.
Thank you for sharing your experience with your ducks because it seems like you are the only one that's had experience with this. Maybe some more have seen this, but maybe we are the only two.
I'm closely monitoring it and will be home every day this week.
I think many believe it was the egg storage or handling before I received the eggs. I'm very careful with my incubator.I’m not saying you must of had a spike, I’m just saying that there is some factor that came into play to make this happen and to me seems like it’s not a genetic issue that would be hereditary. Ohhh....I'm sorry....I know you had high hopes for it. You did your best.We are euthanizing the chicks with the bulging eyes. It's not thriving or gaining weight. It's blind in both eyes.
It's not Clops so I'm okay about the decision. No point in making it suffer.Ohhh....I'm sorry....I know you had high hopes for it. You did your best.
