Close to laying?

My chicks will be 16 weeks old tomorrow. The barred rock looks like she might be getting red faced? Any guesstimates as to how close she is to laying?

Your still a ways off. She will get much redder and her comb and wattles will look plump. My guess for that bird is at the least 8 more weeks.

Mine are 26 weeks and I'm still waiting on eggs. Their very red and plump.

Id say you have at least 4-6 weeks left r, she is only just starting to msture

Same here! This is my 3rd batch of chicks. Don't worry, the wait gets worse with every batch of chicks

The 2nd pic is my Cochin bantam. I've expected her to lay later than the others but she's kind of the top hen in the flock. Picks on my little silkies and always jumps up on my lap to watch over her girls lmao
