Hello,
I have a small Silkie flock where one juvenile randomly passed yesterday. He was out and about very sluggish, puffed up, I brought him inside, and he passed away that night. No signs of trauma, no bloody stools (in fact, I didn’t see any stools), nothing. He wasn’t underweight? Today I noticed several others passing very watery, green, chunky stools similar to the picture attached. IF they do have Clostridium perfringens, can I use Dur Vet penicillin injectable? How much should I administer? Treat everyone??
None are at the sluggish, puffed up point yet. All are walking around, eating, drinking, etc. They just have odd stools & the one that obviously passed suddenly yesterday has me worried.
