Clotheslines - Who has one?

I two lines of rope between two trees in the backyard. I use the swingset to dry comforters and large items. It definitely saves electricity and it prevents shrinking of cotton clothes. I live in Texas so the weather is a little better for a clothesline year round. In the summer a load can easily dry in an hour with the heat. I don't do socks and washcloths on the line, I just wait till I have a load or hang them in the laundry room.

We have a T post type with 3 lines. We sold our dryer 2 years ago since we never used it and put a chest freezer in it's place.

I have an umbrella clothesline. I don't put it in the ground, though. Instead, I have one of those cast iron (painted) stands for umbrellas that people put on their decks for shade. That way, I can move the clothesline where I want it. I can put it in the shaded patio for "good" stuff that might fade in the sun or out in the sun if I want to bleach out whites.

I can also use it in the garage.

I put it away for winter.
