Cloudy bluish tinged eye, closing it, what is going on?

My broody hen has been closing one eye and it seems cloudy almost like cataracts. She is just a year old. Does anyone know what it could possibly be? I thought maybe she got something in it and it was just irritated but it’s now looking cloudy and I want to help her. Any questions or advice appreciated. I’ll see if I can snap a pic of it today. No mites, clean coop, she is separated from flock bc the other hens were pecking at her and stealing her eggs. I wonder if one of the hens injured her eye?

Thank you! There is no puss or anything obvious at all. No tears either. No swelling. Just closing like it’s irritated. But now it’s also cloudy. I will rinse with saline today after her off-egg moment.

Poor girl.

It does look like she may be blind in the eye. I'll tag in @Eggcessive to see what she may suggest.

I do wonder if she got pecked in the eye since the others were bullying her.
Okay this makes me so sad. I thought it would heal up. I’m so sad bc she is the absolute sweetest and kept everyone in line too. But the younger hens got bigger (and meaner).

I'd wait and see what others think.

Even if she's not able to see well or has lost the eye, she should be able to adapt.

I'd definitely clean the eye and put a dab of ointment in it since she's keeping it closed which would indicate it doesn't feel too good to her.

Unfortunately, chickens can be mean to one another. They look so sweet, but sometimes they just are not that nice.
