Oh, those are the worst! I have the worst allergic reaction to chigger bites. I'll bruise for weeks. Its awful.

Fortunately we don't get many chiggers out here! Even ticks are mostly an Eastern Washington issue, thank goodness. We get every other kind of skin mite/lice/flea, though. Warm, wet and humid make for happy parasites

Dude, we have apple trees in our garden and my grandpa used to come over and pick apples. He brought one in the house and cut it open over the kitchen sink and earwigs came POURING out of it! And he ate it!!!!

I know!!!!! I'm scarred for life!! I saw that when I was like 7. That's 20 years ago and I still remember it plain as day! I've never been so horrified!!
