Laufen heard the howl and the fur rose along her spine. Don’t follow, don’t follow- her mind pleaded, but she could hear and scent the fox coming after her. She heard Luna trudge behind her, and she burst into the warren’s clearing. @Barred Rock Mama She cried out an alarm, hoping that the strong warriors of the Thicket Burrows colony could help her chase the fox off. She whipped around, waiting for Reynard to make his appearance, her ears held back to listen for any rabbit’s approach.

Reynard tore heedlessly through the thickets, his coat being shredded more every second. He burst into the thicket burrows. "Two legs! Run! Hide! It's killing!"
-Crack!-
Reynard plowed into the ground and crawled into the nearest bramble on his belly.

Laufen’s adrenaline spiked when she heard the gunshot. Fear froze her for a second, then she tore off in the direction that Reynard was crawling. “I at least don’t want you to get killed by a two-legs, of all the creatures.” She hissed at him. She hopped in front of him, leading him to the thickest part of the bramble, where even the rabbits didn’t like going into. There were roots thick upon the ground. “Try to hide in there.” She said.

Reynard collapsed into the bush. Panting, his head lolled towards Laufen. "Thank you, I'm in your debt-"
-CRACK!-
Reynard felt a searing pain in his side as a stray bullet hit him. He couldn't howl, or he would give himself away. His back leg dragged as he pulled himself deeper into the brambles. His head started to swim, and he managed to roll into a shallow depression of leaves. Then everything went dark.

Muffled gun shots rang out. Caspian waited, frozen in fear.

*twister, who was already out of the camp, bolted for the nearest burrow. His heart racing a mile when he heard the gunshot.*

*freya also heard it and bolted for the same Thicket as Reynard. Not realizing, or caring at the moment that he was there. She was more focused on getting out of sight of the humans.*

*luna froze for a moment when a shot barely missed her caused her to scurry to the nearest burrow, where fett was.*

 

[Blue Raptor]

*twister, who was already out of the camp, bolted for the nearest burrow. His heart racing a mile when he heard the gunshot.*

Laufen hissed at Freya. Another fox? Her mind screamed. “Get! Get out of here!” She yell-whispered. “Your going to draw attention!” But the fox was coming in anyway. Knowing she couldn’t stop Freya, Laufen continued to glare daggers at the grey fox. “Hold still!” She growled as Freya hunkered down.

Laufen hissed at Freya. Another fox? Her mind screamed. “Get! Get out of here!” She yell-whispered. “Your going to draw attention!” But the fox was coming in anyway. Knowing she couldn’t stop Freya, Laufen continued to glare daggers at the grey fox. “Hold still!” She growled as Freya hunkered down.

Noah, I’m assuming your in control of the farmer, I’ll let you choose what to do.

A deer bounded through the thicket, with the two legs huffing behind it. He stopped momentarily, surveying the rabbit burrows.
"Darn rabbits, I'll gerrem later with the ferrets. Veggie thieves, ain't that right Wully?"
"Rarrf! Rrrrr! Rarrf!"
"No time fer rabbiting, come!"
With that, the two legs stomped off through the thicket, but not before sticking a little red flag in the ground.
"Enjoy what's left of yer time, rabbits!"
The sounds receded into the distance.
-crack- "arf arf arf!"

*freya ignored the glare of the rabbit, instead she was focused on listening for the humans distinct footsteps. Wanting to hear exactly how close they actually are.*

Laufen froze as well, cocking her ears to listen for the two-leg’s footsteps. She knew the fox wouldn’t try to eat her when her life was in danger.
