*Clovers and Cottontails* A Wild Rabbit RP

(Ok! How should I start? Something Like “Roger was hopping around?”)
Alethea slowly awoke as sun steamed into the hallway leading to her burrow. She could see. Honestly, she didn't notice it at first. She just began to go about her daily things. When she realized she could see, she raced happily around the burrows. She spotted Roger and hopped up to him. "Hey!" She playfully bumped into him. "Are you entering in for the winter Buck Wars? I know Nate told me he was. Ya think you could beat him?"

(The Buck Wars are a competition that they talked a bit about having and there's one for every season. Its just a competition for the bucks and kinda like the Olympics. There can be fighting, racing, hunting for a certain food, ect. Let me know if you have any ideas! ;))

(Ah, ok, thanks! Do winners get some sort of a reward?)

Roger, startled, answered ”I was considering it”

(Mostly bragging rights but maybe we could say they get to eat the special patches of grass reserved for the warrens highest ranking rabbits (Becca, Beccas Mate (Can't remember his name lol) and Alethea... I'm probably missing someone, sorry lol) for a month or something.)

"You would be great at it! The contest begins this coming week... I should make an announcement for it. Did you hear about Nate and Rosemary, though? They left. Just for a bit though. Hopefully. Maybe you won't have to go against Nate if he doesn't get back in time."

“Thanks!” He responded, happily. “I’ve heard about them, hope they come back soon. Why did they leave?”

"No not yet." Rosemary responded. "But I'm sure I'll find someone." Nate hopped up to her. She told him the news and they went back to their burrow to plan. By the afternoon, they had left.

The rabbits hopped through the woods. "Oh!" Rosemary exclaimed. Nate jumped. "What?" He whispered, annoyed. "We forgot to tell Lay that we're leaving!" "That's alright. Becca will tell her." Rosemary hoped Alethea wouldn't be upset. It began to get dark, and the rabbits became more skittish. Nervously, Nate scanned the area for a place to sleep, but found none. He began to dig a burrow for them. Leaves nearby began to crunch. "It's just a squirrel." Nate thought to himself. He finished digging and they slept.

Nate woke up. He felt sore from their journey, and he groaned as he stood. He gently shook Rosemary awake. They continued their search. Rosemary hoped they were going in the correct direction. An hour past, then two. Nate began to get worried. As they continued, their paws began to sink into mud. They got muddier and muddier until it clumped around their feet and stuck to them, making it hard to hop. They were silent for a while until they came to a small pool of fresh water. They drank and washed their paws in it. "Nate, I don't want to do this anymore." Rosemary complained. Though Nate had been thinking the same thing, he didn't want to come all this way for nothing. "No." He spoke firmly and with power. "We will not turn back." And that was all he said. He began to hop further into the swamp. Rosemary followed her mate, warily. Half an hour went by, and the rabbits hadn't spoken to each other. Nate sniffed the air. Rosemary watched him from a distance. "I smell rabbits." He murmured. Rosemary could barely here him, but the swamp was calm and there were no noises. She ran up to him. "Which direction?" She asked. Nate didn't respond and led the way. Rosemary, annoyed, followed. As they hopped, Rosemary got more and more upset with Nate. She was about to talk to him, when Nate froze. He lowered himself to the ground and skulked over to a long plant nearest to him. "What?" Rosemary hissed. Nate didn't reply. She wanted to kill him in her rage, but Rosemary slunk off to a plant of her own. She could smell rabbits nearby.

(Maybe the Marsh Colony can ambush them?)
Sprout had followed the rabbits deep into the marsh. For some strange reason they were walking deeper into the marsh, past the point that it was illegal for any marsh colony rabbit to go so far. "Hey!" She yelled when she saw them hiding. "You're going too deep. The mud will suck you down and you'll drown. Or would you choke? I don't know, just get back here." Rosemary looked at Nate and Nate looked at her. They both ran towards the new rabbit. Ambush or not, they didn't want to spend another second there. "Parrie Warren." Sprout noted as she led the way back to solid ground. "How did you know?" "I have my ways. And you also stink to high heaven. Typical." "W- what? No, that's the mu-" Nate began but Sprout quickly cut him off again. "Are you scouting? If so this is our territory so beat it." "No not scouts," Rosemary began, "we need a healer in our Warren, and I want to learn. We are looking for a Colony with a rabbit that can teach me." Sprout laughed, "HA! Good luck. What makes you think anyone would except a bunch of strange outsiders?" Before any rabbit could answer Sprout added, "But we have a healer. She... strange but I'm sure she'll teach ya." "WONDERFUL!" Rosemary squealed. "Hey, hey, calm down, before you get your hopes up, the only way you won't get killed being brought in is if you come in... as my prisoners."
