Well what the heck did you put hibiscus in there for?
And another thing, Grumpy, what do you plant by your pool? People plant a lot of hibiscus, bananas and palm trees by the pools for that tropical get away look. Some even have the rock water fall things.

They live until the next freeze hits. But that is only once very decade or so.

Love to the wife and kids!

Happy Mother's Day!

What @RUNuts said!!!!! 😂 Hibicus is pretty, it blooms all summer and into fall. And the height works well to prevent the birds from plucking all the leaves and blooms off. The cover that we have to put over the hydrangea is ugly and quail still manage to get stuck inside. I didn’t want to use the pipe, but the pheasants tend to get bored and strip the bark off.

@EmmaRainboe has some purple crap at her house that I need.
Wisteria. I haven't figured out if it can live down here or not yet.

We’re supposed to remove some birds from the aviary today. But the weather is such that I don’t want to get off the couch!!!! 😂
I was just starting to doze off when someone spoke a little bit too loud and woke me up.😡

Wisteria will live, expand and kill trees. In the spring when the flowers bloom, the air is heady with wisteria fragrance. Intoxicating and over powering. We planted some on the wooden privacy fence and it proceeded to pop boards off. You want some? I haven't been able to kill in the last 10 years. I'll get some started for you. Use the google, people will train them on trellises so the vines look like trees even after the trellis rots away. Makes a pretty bush, but don't plant it next to anything you want to live. Aggressive. I pulled some wisteria runners up that were 60 feet long. Across the yard, up the side of the house and into the attic. I didn't let it pop boards off the house. I'm not done killing it yet.

I was surprised when I found the runner in the attic too.

Wisteria is VERY pretty and smells great, on someone else's property.
