I've got the most gorgeous, friendly splash cockerel. He loves cuddles and pets and is an all around lover. He's about 12-13 weeks old right now.

My concern is that he's clumsy. He lays down to eat...when he runs, it's more of a waddle [though his legs are shaped normally and there's no wounds or growths or anything that would cause it] He's also tripping over his own feet clumsy.

I love him to death and I couldn't ask for a better roo, but is this normal? Is this some kind of gangly, awkward teenager phase that will pass or is he going to be unfit for breeding?

    Thanks everyone!

Ar 12-13 weeks he is more of a preteen yet, so he has a ways to go still. I would wait till he is more mature to say what he will be like. As to breeding him a lot depends on want you want for your flock, and does he fit them.
