Personally I am glad people purchased cars form the foreign companies instead of Obama Motors. I will never NEVER buy another American made car if they took bail-out money. I tmakes me sick to even think about what that "deal" really meant.

Personally, I refuse to take tax-payer money in order to buy myself a new car - that is like welfare to me. I'll drive my clunker for another year (so I can SAVE MONEY - novel idea isn't it- and don't need to take YOUR'S) and then I'm buying a new Tundra.

I could care less what the gas mileage is. Heck, if I could buy it back, I'd rather be driving my old 9 miles to the gallon Jeep Grand Wagoneer than an eco-friendly tin-can anyday. I can still remember the sweet sound of the fuel flooded carburetor burning up the gas....good times, man...good times.

I got the top ten list from the news paper, guess they could have got them wrong.........

Just another way to spend tax payer money, now we are helping people buy cars .

The list is not necesarily "wrong", since that's the way the government tallies sales ... but the information is misleading and a lot of people are basing political arguments on it. The Edmonds data in the CNN article I posted shows that a lot of American cars were bought through this program.

Unless it has been changed in the past few days,ALL vehicles turned in for Cash for Clunkers muxst be compacted.
NO salvagable parts are to be sold.
A friend of mine went to the salvage lot looking for a starter for his 1989 pick up truck there were a few in the yard, he needed only the starter and the owner told him he wasnt allowed to sell any parts off the vehicles that came in they were to ALL be processed. A $30.00 starter used is now going to cost him $300.00 new, more than the trucks actual worth. its a farm truck never leaves the yard.

and has anyone checked priced of the vehicles?
I did some checking, Kia was selling one of their plain jane modles 6 months ago for $12,000.00, right now the same Kia with no frills is $30,000.00 can we say jacked prices?
