cmfarm.us Hatching Camera

I did download webcamXP but I couldnt figure out how to take my monitoring to broadcasting and how to actually get it on an http address so I can see it from other computers. IDK, maybe I just dont get all the technical jargon like I thought I did...

If you just want to watch it your self on your network you turn on the webserver an there will be a IP address on the bottom right of the screen you can write down an type in to the other PCs web address.

If you want to share it on the internet you would have to set up port forwarding in your router an use its IP address or buy a web address. There are also websites that will help you broadcast threw them. I have no experience with them.

OK got a web server going again. The power was going off a lot last night an at some point my Imac I was using for a web server decided it did not want to come back on, ever! I Had to build another one. I used an old PC this time an loaded it with Apache. Anyway long story short I got it up an running again. The power going out did lengthen my cooking time on my ham.

Is that temperature up yet???

Looking forward to this....I'd love to see those babies hatching...

What fun!

I really need some new equipment. That thermometer is junk. My good one died. I tested the temp of a jug of water in there using a medical thermometer. It showed 98.6*F. I went ahead an bumped the thermostat up a little. It will take for ever for that thermometer to come back up to temp now. Not sure how good this hatch will do. I have aquired a sportsman clone to use for the first 18 days an have made this one a hatcher only. This is my first time to really get this setup going. Many more eggs in the incubator now. On a side note, I fried my laptop today. That makes 2 PCs down in less than 12 hours. May be time to go look at one of those new net books?
