Co-Worker Rant*****

No email! No Facebook! NO!

I can only speak for my own supervisory style, but whenever I have one staff complain to me about another staff, it turns on my radar. I start wondering just how much spare time the complainer has that they are keeping track of their coworkers instead of tending to their own tasks!

They can't be keeping track all that well since I never take extended breaks. Since I am trained in almost every area of the shop I take my breaks early so I can cover the router, conformal coat, ICT, AHBC etc.. So yeah, If I want to take my break within a 2 hour window of when everyone else does I take it 20 minutes early...

Today the boss put me in the cleaning bubble with him though. The guy tried to talk about it with me. It was very amusing as he was lying again

I just smiled and told him water under the bridge. Apparently he talked to a bunch of people yesterday about it and they all told him he was full of bull spit. So he even tried calling some folks who were out on medical leave. They told him the same thing.

By the end of the night everybody was joking and laughing about his pathetic attempt and I had never said a word. Very amusing!

Good for you for keeping your silence. You haven't done a single thing wrong still.

Edited because what I wrote was just a bit not nice. Apologies to all.

Well.........................................

You could send your minnion of ninja squirrels after him

Or

When he comes to you after days of you not speaking to him, toss him a quarter and tell him to call somebody who cares.

NEVER NEVER NEVER USE FACEBOOK TO BARE PERSONAL AND DAMAGING THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF.

Haven't you read the news about this and the internet being used to fine reasons to fire people? Come on people don't think for a minute that what you say anywhere including here confidential.

Be sure of your source before you contact him. You might ask your boss for a sit down with this guy to find out why he said what he said. If your boss won't then there's not much you can do but watch your back. If this guy will lie about this he will lie about what ever you say.

"In the mouth of two or three witnesses". The bible says your boss should not have contacted you on the word of one person. As having a management degree (me) your boss failed and should not have said anything to you unless he was willing to have a three way with this co- worker. You can tell him I said so.

If this co-worker was telling the truth he would be willing to say it in front of you with the boss. I would have told him then "lets bring him in and see what he has to say". If he refused then I would have said "then you let me do my job and you do yours".

This is what comes from hiring unqualified managers.

My suggestion: "I don't know why you felt the need to attempt to have me fired, maybe you are concerned about your own job and afraid there are not enough positions to go around. I want you to know I forgive you, and I wish you well in the future."
Then walk away.

With witnesses.
