Cocci: Corid (amprolium) + Sulfamethoxazole / Trimethoprim

Ah, ok, I found Baycox, but two concerns. one it's over $200.00, and two, it says not to use in birds used for egg production......thoughts on this????

Contrary to popular belief, amprolium does not treat all strains of coccidiosis, so sometimes the better choice is a sulfa drug.

There are no drug interactions between amprolium and sulfas, so they can be given together, and there is an article somewhere that says this.

@KsKingBee does his own fecals and has found that amprolium is not as effective as sulfamethoxazole.
@KsKingBee @casportpony I have 2 chicks, 8 weeks old, that have coccida for the second time. I just treated them around two or 3 weeks ago and they made it through. Today I am noticing symptoms. I am giving corrid water, starting today after noticing signs. I have the same sulfa drug (sulfamethoxazole) and would like to give it at the same time as corrid water. Is that safe and how do I give it and what doseage do you recommend? Thank you
