I’ve been treating my 1.5 wk old chicks with Corid for 4 days. They still have runny chocolate colored stool. I did not get photos since my daughter noticed before I did. Do they still have Cocci?

I followed the directions on the medication. The stools are loose, watery stools, chocolate brown in color. The chicks seem unphased. They’re still kicking their feed everywhere and running all around the brooder box like there’s nothing wrong lol.

Photos of the poop would be good.

It sounds like what you are seeing is normal colored poop, especially if they are running around eating/drinking well.

The Corid dosing on the package is for Cattle, you'll want to dose for poultry instead.
Since you've started the Corid, then I'd finish the course of treatment. The medication is mild and won't hurt them.

Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp or Powdered Corid Dose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Do not add any extra vitamins/electrolytes that contain B1(Thiamine) to food or water during the course of treatment.

Ok thank you. I’ve been dozing with the poultry dosage. My Vet friend gave me instructions on how to do that. Thank y’all.
