I'm pretty sure this 8 week old puller has coccidia. This picture was taken a little bit ago. Is there anyway to save this one? She pooped out a big blood clot right after this photo. At the moment she is walking around fine, and I've isolated her. I'm on my way to pick up corid. Any help is appreciated especially with dosing for her and the rest of the flock. (I have full size in a pen next to it, do they need treatment as well? And do I hold the eggs back while treating? Thanks)

Hi

Welcome To BYC

That's quite a bit of fresh blood, while it could be Cocci, I would check her vent and surrounding tissues for signs of injury/wounds.

If you find no signs of injury then start her on Corid as soon as possible. Corid dosage is 1 1/2 teaspoons Corid powder per gallon or 2 teaspoons of 9.6% Corid liquid per gallon.
Give for 5-7 days - make sure this is the ONLY water available during that time period. Mix a fresh batch at least once a day.
After they finish treatment offer some poultry vitamins and probiotics/plain yogurt.

Corid is mild so can be given to the entire flock if need be. There is no egg withdrawal when using Corid.
