New hen. Is this coccidiosis? Thanks.

It's hard to rule out coccidiosis since it is so common. How old is the bird and have you noticed other symptoms? Did you quarantine her for 30 days before introducing her to the rest of the flock?

Supposed to be 8 months old. I haven’t noticed anything else specifically. We didn’t quarantine her. Rookie mistake 🙄

It happens! There may very well be nothing at all wrong with her; chickens occasionally shed their intestinal lining. I would go ahead and treat her and any other chickens she is in contact with for coccidiosis. Coccidiosis is easily treatable if caught early and it won't hurt to go ahead and treat everyone.

Wait, they do that?
