Coccidiosis, or something else?

I have four Barred Rock hens, approximately 9 months old. This morning I noticed bright red blood near where they nest. I'm not entirely sure if its blood from an injury (I checked them all over but saw nothing), bloody and runny poop, or if its red because of the strawberries they had before bed.

I stuck around this morning to monitor, and everyone ate, drank, and had normal looking droppings at that time. No one is acting sick (I've been checking them every 30-60 minutes). I have found no more blood/bloody poop, either.

I am hoping it was from strawberries, or a wound I'm just not seeing (like a feather breakage?)

Pic attached for reference.

Wow! I can see why you would be alarmed, but that would be A LOT of blood to be in a cocci poop. If none of the other poops have any red in them, I would probably chalk that up to the strawberries. Certainly monitor their droppings though. And if you want to rest easy, Corid can be used without any egg withdrawal period, and won't hurt the birds if they do not have cocci. Always a good thing to have around.

Thank you! I will be getting the medication after work, just to play it safe. Still no more red droppings, either 👍
