Coccidiosis question

I have been noticing pieces of red tissue in my 7-8 week old chicks dropping for about a week. I find around 1-2 per day (I have 4 chicks). Otherwise all other droppings are normal they are eating well, active and growing well. I have them on medicated feed, they were off of the medicated for about a week but when I saw this start I put them back on medicated. However they have access to a yard all day so are not strictly eating feed. I bought Corid. Should I go ahead and treat. Would it be harmful to treat if they don’t have Coccidiosis? I don’t like to over medicate my animals but would rather be safe then sorry.

Corid is pretty harmless to use, even if they don’t have coccidiosis. Some people automatically give a treatment to their young chicks around 3-5 weeks old, if they have had an outbreak before. Even some people who have organic farms use it as a preventative.

Thank you I decided to go ahead and treat. After the 5 days should I give them a supplement? If the rooster booster vitamins, electrolytes, and probiotic mix any good?
