They are all 4.5 months, same hatch date. Came from Meyer’s hatchery in Ohio

If they haven't showed signs of it by now they probably won't.

You don't have other chickens correct?

That’s correct, just my four girls. They’ve been here since day old, I picked them up at hatchery.

It prompted me to do some more searching and I found this reassuring comment for we small scale backyard flock keepers: "Immunity is best kept strong by a low level of infection, which is what happens on free-range. This is what I believe too.


I give babies dirt in the brooder the first week they hatch...to build up immunity.
