I have 7 chicks 1 week old. One was will a mama hen but she kept losing it so I put it with the friends I got for it from ts. I noticed bloody poop just a couple days ago so I started them on corid. The directions are vague. 3-5 days 7-14 days maintenance. How do I know how long to give it to them. Also they are so young I'm afraid about them getting wry neck being on corid for so long. Advice please 🙏

Do you have any pictures of the bloody poop? Dosage of Corid is 2 tsp of the liquid or 1 1/2 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Usually that is enough unless chicks are nit doing well. Make sure to keep the poop cleaned up, the bedding dry and add fresh bedding often.

Here is a thread about corid dosing. Have you seen it?

I don't usually do all 14 days, especially if they are asymptomatic. It has been a while since someone here had it, but I believe I just did the 5 days and then switched to a vitamin supplement. I would have vitamin E on hand, too, since that is really young.

Yes I did see that already thank you. I have rooster booster poultry cell, is that enough for thiamine and vit e or do I need more? Thank you!

I don't have a picture, and as of today ( after 2 full days of corid) I don't see any bloody poop. It was definitely blood and it was with the Cecal poop. I gave them all new bedding today. Thank you so much.
