Cochin hen keeps popping?

Sorry about the strange title, no idea what I would call this. Anywho, every time I pick up my smooth frizzle Cochin hen, her left side tends to make this popping/crunching sound. It’s been going on for a while, and I first thought it was a respiratory problem and wanted to wait it out since I have no ability to take her to a vet, but I now realize it’s more of her hip or pelvis popping in and out of place, or something like that. Any input of what it might be would be great. Thanks!

Where do you hear it? Do you feel anything (if holding her) when you hear the noise?
Also, is she smooth or frizzled? If frizzled, it may be harder to feel anything when holding her.
A smooth frizzled Cochin is a normal Cochin.

Yes, I can feel a pop. She’s smooth, so basically normal.

She walks completely normal, and never shows any sign of pain. It’s hard to tell where since she’s so small, but it’s somewhere on her left side.

I have a older Brahma hen who makes a popping noise when I pick her up. I’ve always assumed she’s trying to spread her wings and her bones “crack” like ours do when put under pressure (because I’m pinning them down). She’s fine otherwise so I’ve never put any more thought into it.
