COCHIN LARGE FOWL EGG COLOR

I have a beautiful marbled grey and black Cochin who is 9 months old now. She has yet to lay eggs. When will she lay and what color will her eggs be?

Cochins are slow to mature, so it could be a couple more months. It depends on the individual. They lay brown eggs.

Thank you for your reply I was told at the feed store that she would lay white eggs. Reason why I was asking. I have 2 other chickens with her, a Cuckoo Maran, Barnvelder. Both have been laying dark dark brown eggs and brown with specks on them. I was looking for white from her, so now It's confusing, LOL I will wait and see. Thank you again.

No problem. They're supposed to lay a light brown (tan) egg, so it should be pretty easy to tell them apart.
