Cochin or d'uccle bantam chicks?

they will stand very tall, necks stretched up, chests out..they will bump into each other like this. They may peck or push the other's neck down. Sometimes mine jump/flog at each other.

Pullets will do this as well to assert dominance in the pecking order.

A few weeks ago I rotated a pullet into a new group and my smallest pullet went at it with her.

All of mine do that...if one finds something 'new' they all must have it..the one with it runs and the others chase regardless of sex.

When they are actually challenging they will stand very tall, necks stretched up, chests out..they will bump into each other like this. They may peck or push the other's neck down. Sometimes mine jump/flog at each other.
The only time I saw that was when I had the perch up too high, so they tried to use each other as a trampoline to jump up. I've lowered it and its stopped :)

So there's an area of the cage they've figured out they can run to when mama wants to take pics, and I cant reach them! So the white one, doesnt seem porcelain, just white, doesn't have as much as a developed comb. Maybe a little more than your white one at 2 weeks, but not much more. Kind of distant pic of her. The mille however, I think is a few days younger than the rest of the batch it was with, much smaller body, but a larger comb. Looks just like your pic. Little sucker escaped and went flying, so that's the best I could get.

Mine have a perch that is about 2 inches off the ground. They are still in an xl pet play pen for their brooder. Just the 4 of them.
Oh these guys can totally fly up to it when it is more than 12" up, but they need a running start to fly. Which is where the trampolining on each other comes in. The little stinker this morning flew several feet when I was trying to take his pic. I lowered it so they can hop instead of flying, the pine is going everywhere when they do. The poor silkies keep looking up, trying to figure out how they are going to get up there!

This is before I moved them to their new coop. It's cute to see all 3 together. They sleep cuddled with the silkies on the floor though.

This is my brooder. I have two. One for my bantams and d'uccles and one for my mottled lavender orpingtons.

I love that!! What do you have at the bottom of it? I like your stone stands for the food and water.. I have a couple similar that I'll get from my yard.

I was just thinking what I could do to give them a pseudo outside time. I wont trust flying chickens! And we already have hawks that monitor the yard in the whole neighborhood. I unfortunately cannot have an outdoor structure. But this is such a great idea!!
