Cochin pullet or roo?

Everything but the saddle looks roo. But then... it kind of looks like he/she might be missing some feathers there too???

I'll vote roo. Maybe a roo with a feather complex.

No spurs yet, no crowing yet, no missing feathers. I love this little bird, but we are a city flock, so if Berta's a Bert, he'll be looking for a new home if anyone in Colorado is interested in picking him up.

I would say pullet. Now, I'm no expert but I have done a LOT of researching trying to figure out what my bantam cochin is. Turns out he's a rooster, here is his picture to compare to your's.

He is 12 weeks old and he's been crowing for a month or so now. I don't know if bantams are the same as standards but if it was a rooster, shouldn't it be crowing by now? Someone told me they usually start crowing around 6-16 weeks old. Mine started crowing at like 9 weeks. 8 weeks maybe.

Females have rounder, fatter bodies with smaller tails. That's what your's looks like to me! I hope you get eggs.
