Ok, here are some of my 7 week old bantam Cochin chicks. There are some I'm pretty sure about being pullets or roos and a couple that I think are one today and the opposite tomorrow.

So what do you think?

I'll start with my Birchens.
These are pullets I'm nearly positive...

And I'm pretty positive on these being roos since they're getting the back feathering like roosters...

But not sure about this one...

So do you think its a roo?

More coming............

Now for the Blues.
These I'm pretty positive are pullets...

And I think the splash is a roo and the other I'm not sure. Please say pullets.

If those two are indeed roos then I only got 2 pullets out of 10!

White and reds coming....

Here's the two whites.
Do you think I have a pair?

They're a week younger than the Blues and Birchens.

Here's the red chicks. Are they cochins?

Is it a pair?

Ok the birchens...the one on the right is a roo other 2 are hens IMO the one in question i think looks rooish to me
the lighter splash looks like a hen but the darker one is a roo

The first 3 pics of the 3 blues look like pullets to me and the ones you thought were roos look like roos definately

Your right on the reds and whites a pair of each

I just loveeee cochins! they are sooo much fun and soooo squeezably cute

Thanks! Oh me too! I'm so in love with cochins! I now have 8 Gold Laced chicks too but they're day olds so there's no sexing them yet. I absolutely love the breed though!

I haven't seen many bantam gold laced pictures so I'm anxious to see these guys mature. I've had Silver Penciled, Partridge, Blues, Blacks, Whites, Buffs before. I got 2 buffs this time but they were both roos.
