My dear Cochin is a almighty warrior, she has raised babies, fought hawks and domineering roosters and she isn't even a year old. But this is a new one, a HUGE wolf hybrid broke into our yard. Dear Headwig put herself between this huge dog and her babies and the rest of the flock. My mother walked past mounds of her pretty white feathers, to the unmoving Hen, and She started breathing!!!
We did not have to cull her, some bald patches and scrapes are the worst of her wounds. She is a indoor chicken for a few days but this is her!! Missing LOTS of Feathers!!!
