Don't banty cochins look so big in photos but they're actually so small?
This is random, but when I look at a pic of a bantam cochin I say
"Whoa thats huge!"

They really do! I think its they're round fluffiness.

Also I'm so glad I "rescued" the (gaah I can't remember the word!) she's sitting on. The chickens all love it but she's the one who owns it. Lol

Its like one of those playground dome things lol. I've seen those before.

Yup! Something like that. A friend was throwing it out because it's too old for it to be safe for children. But chickens are a completely different matter

Yeah, I've noticed that too. You only see how small they are when they're together with bigger chickens.

And just think, most of that is floof. So they are super, super small under those feathers.

(Also, no worries about the run. Mine is muddy too right now from the snow melting.)

She is adorable! I love it!

Don’t worry about it. I have ducks, an uncovered run is a recipe for sloppy muddy ness with those guys. No judgement what so ever.

This is my buff Cochin “Dawn” her (twin) sister is “Early Light”. They were born around the 4th of July, hence the names (from the National Anthem).
