Cochins...Good layers?

I was just wondering if Cochins are good layers or if they are just pretty much show chickens. I have two 8 week old Buff Cochins that are starting to look really beautiful, but I was just wondering. Not that it matters or anything, we love em all the same. Also if any one has some good pics of their Cochins, I'd love to see them!

I've read that they're not great layers but I don't have any first-hand experience with them.

I don't think they are very good layers. I like that they are calm and easy to keep contained and fun to watch walk around.
I like crossing them to make ee's.

I laugh my butt off watching them run across the yard chasing each other or bugs!

The feathers on their feet make them look like they are wearing scuba flippers! They are so funny with their "pants" and "shoes". Yours are Beautiful by the way! I havent uploaded any pics of mine yet, but I'm gonna.

Mine are not good layers at all, but they sure are soft and fun to watch! I think mine lay maybe one a week.

Ahhh, thanks. That would be fine with me, I do have other good layers, so a couple more to add to theirs would be great.
