@ColtHandorf Are you cochin? I have seen your cochins and they are beautiful! You have to be cochins! Do you have orps a beautiful as your cochins?

I do prefer the English Orpingtons. That being said, I am breeding Lemon Blue Cochin bantams. They are pretty adorable. I didn't pick them, a former roommate wanted some small chickens because my Orpingtons were "too big", so I helped her pick some out. She brought home a quad of those, three pairs of Seramas, a pair of Porcelain Silkies, and a grab bag of bantams from Tractor Supply. When she moved out I sold all the random bantams and kept the Seramas, Cochins, and the Silkies. My focus is definitely on the Orpingtons and I'm hoping to add a couple additional colors in the large fowl and some bantams next year when I'm done building out all the breed pens.

See map of breeding pens...lol I already have birds in the three pens in the barn, the single stand alone, and the two off the largest area (which is actually a fenced yard I built for the dogs). The two to the left of the barn will be for the waterfowl, guineas and turkeys will be in the barn, the six pens to the right of the barn will be for the LF Orpingtons, the eight smaller pens will be for bantams, grow-outs, and Orpingtons in smaller flocks. The three closest to the barn will be for grow outs.

Now I did have some large fowl Cochins about sixteen years ago that came from McKinney and Govero, a breeding operation that has long been liquidated. Their birds were stunning even with the leakage in the Splash rooster, who was also kin to Satan. For your viewing pleasure:
