He started out white, then got some buff color on his hackles, and then a few green feathers in his tail - not enough to be called columbian, but that type of pattern. Now he has more buff on his back and sides.

He's pretty, just sort of odd colored.

just my luck.

I'll have to look up mottled houdans, and see if they match up any better to those.

Looked them up, they have a extra toe, mine don't have the extra toe.

Can a few of you take pictures of your eggs you're getting from these sweeties? I am still waiting for my first cochin eggs (among other ones...grrrrr) and I'm curious what color they'll be.

everyone's birds are soo pretty. I haven't gotten any eggs from mine yet either luvin.
I love the giants, they are so big, but I'm afraid that I would have to make bigger nest boxes.

I am going to have to get a Roo for my standard girls. I wonder what would happen if I cross a buff with my silver laced girls
today I'll go outside and take pics of my banty's I have a pair of partridge that are so cute and some buffs and a red
Yeah I went cochin crazy.Nor entirely my fault I ordered Silver laced wyandottes off of McMurry and they sent me cochins but now that I have them I think they are prettier than the wyandottes.

ok post ur pics of standard cochins or bantam cochins. i dont care which. i love looking at cochins there my favorite breed of chickens. and im sure everyone else will enjoy looking at them to. well hope to see all of ur guys pics of them cute little boogers.
